I used Dumbo Movers for my most recent move and had an overall great experience. When I called to get rate info, Danny was extremely friendly and helpful and the online estimate form is quite easy to complete. Within an hour, I had a flat rate estimate that was quite lower than what I originally expected. As luck would have it, my move date was on the weekend that Hurricane Irene was due to hit NYC, but Friday morning the dispatcher at Dumbo called to confirm everything and said they would be there no matter.

Sure enough, Nebo and his crew arrived in good spirits even though they had sat in traffic for two hours on their way to my apartment.

They quickly got to work and in no time (and way before Irene's heavy rains started) had the contents of my large one bedroom apartment loaded up and on their way to my new home. The unloading went even more smoothly and quickly and all my belongings arrived safe, sound and completely undamaged.

I would definitely recommend Dumbo Movers and especially Nebo's crew to anyone looking for reliable, affordable and friendly movers.

I used Dumbo this morning and will NEVER use anyone other than them again!! Not only were they on time, they were ahead of schedule and called to see if we could do it early. Once they were there they wrapped each piece with great care!

These guys are great! I used them when I moved from Brooklyn to Manhattan and I am using them again for my Manhattan move. The men were professional and worked very quickly. They were so nice and accommodating, even though I had more boxes than I originally anticipated. My furniture was safe and I was never concerned about the safety of the items in my boxes. They are affordable and their work is awesome. You will pay more for lower quality service anywhere else!

I recently did a long(er) distance move between Brooklyn and upstate NY. I had never hired movers before and was a little nervous about it, but a friend recommended Dumbo movers to me. After getting about 6-7 quotes, Dumbo's was by far the lowest, and was not mysteriously increased on moving day (just be honest about what you have when setting it up). Speaking with Danny on the phone was easy; he was incredibly efficient and responsive. And the movers themselves were fantastic! We worked with Marko's team: three of the sweetest guys who were incredibly considerate of everything, from handling our furniture, to being careful on the hardwood floors, to refusing to let us lift a finger. And all of this with a 6 hour drive through the mountains landing smack dab in the middle of the day. Great guys, great company. Highly recommended.

Dumbo Moving & Storage moved me on 07/28/11 and i must say they were very reliable and honest. The representative Tyrone was very professional and honest. The movers were very good. I would recommend them to all my friends and family and i would use them again .

If you are lucky enough to find out about Dumbo, you don't have to make anymore calls to compare prices. Dumbo has one of the cheapest price in NYC. I moved many times with bunch of different moving companies, but Dumbo's the only one I didn't have trouble with. The company sent me two guys, Nebo and Pedia, both have done a terrific job. They were professional and friendly from beginning to the end. First off, they're very responsible in confirming date and time so your schedule won't be thrown off. This is important in the city because some moving companies charge time for searching for parking and complain about it. They wrap the furniture nicely and move with speed. In my experience, they took half the time to move my stuff compare to other companies. They also offer to dump any furniture you're throwing away for small charge. It's very hard to throw out furniture in the city without a giant fine. All in all, made my move easy and comfortable.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMEND DUMBO MOVING!!! I had a very small move from my apt in Bklyn to a house in Hempstead, NY. I only had a week to move, and Dumbo Movers (I spoke with Danny) not only were able to arrange the move for the day I needed, but gave me an excellent price quote!!! Danny was polite, organized, and very caring. He sent two FINE young movers, Michael (Mikael? :), and Milo. They were on time, polite, took EXCELLENT care of my possessions, wrapping breakables, and taking their time getting my goods to their truck. They, and DUMBO MOVERS were BETTER THAN COULD HAVE BEEN EXPECTED!!! When they got to Hempstead, they handled my belongings beautifully, carefully bringing them downstairs, and unwrapping them.

Dumbo Movers is a FIRST CLASS, WELL RUN, WELL STAFFED (from administrative to the moving guys), and I GIVE THEM A 5 STAR RATING (WISH I COULD MAKE IT HIGHER!!!). USE THEM, and you WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!

my anxiety about moving was quickly wiped away when four clean cut men( who looked like soccer players) showed up at my home. Before I knew it everything was packed and loaded int he truck. The guys were professional and sweet at the same time. I would recommend them to anyone.

Used Dumbo for local move in NYC and they did a great job. Every employee I dealt with from the sales agent( Bauer) to to movers were friendly and aimed to please. Would recommend them and will use them again should the need arise. It was a perfect move and I was very happy.

Amazing service. Mark and the guys were professional, arrived on time and did an amazing job. They took great care with our stuff and were very accommodating. They were quick and efficient. I recommend them highly.

The crew of 4 - lead by Nash - was on time, super friendly, and most importantly, efficient. All my loading and unloading was done smoothly. I cannot say enough about the job they did.

In addition, the price was very reasonable. With the job the crew did, and the fantastic customer support I received from Tyrone, I am ecstatic with how my move went. Not looking forward to unpacking everything now though... ;)
